March 1972, Marvel Feature #2, Page #4 Splash, Ross Andru pencils/Sal Buscema inks, “Nightmare On Bald Mountain!", A great Bronze Age Splash from the 2nd appearance of the Defenders! A historic page in its own right, but when Sal Buscema inks it, its a bit extra special to me. Dr. Strange, Hulk and Namor travel to Rutland, Vermont to stop a cult from releasing Dormammu into our dimension. Note: Marvel Feature #2 is also the 2nd appearance of the Rutland Vermont Halloween Parade. Roy Thomas, who wrote the Defenders series at the time, appears in this comic with his wife, Jeanie Thomas, and the organizer of the Rutland Parade, Tom Fagan. Roy actually goes to Rutland Vermont to help Tom Fagan prepare the floats for the 12th Annual Rutland Vermont Halloween Parade.
