March 1974, Amazing Adventures #23, Page #1 Splash, Herb Trimpe pencils/Frank Chiaramonte inks, “The Legend Assassins!”, War of the Worlds – Killraven! A great Killraven splash drawn by the great, late Herb Trimpe, who sadly passed away on April 13, 2015. I saw Herb Trimpe two days prior to his death at the East Coast Comic Con in the Meadowlands! He was a great man and one of the great artists! He was the definitive Hulk artist, and he co-created Wolverine & Doc Samson! This story was also written by Don McGregor, the legendary writer, who wrote the definitive Black Panther, as well as Killraven, and Nathaniel Dusk.
